One of my favorite books is Never Have Your Dog Stuffed by Alan Alda. The actor recounts a story from his childhood when his father had a beloved dog taxidermied after it had passed; and as you might imagine, the stiff, stuffed, lifeless pooch just didn’t bring the same joy. Alda has told the story at countless university convocations as a metaphor for never living in the past and always looking toward the future with hope and optimism.
Its never good to live in the past… except when we might get NEW MUSIC FROM DR. DRE AND EMINEM THIS WEEK.
